The Natural Stone Cleaning Process

Step 1: Initial Inspection - A thorough pre-inspection is needed to determine the right natural stone cleaning process to use for your surfaces. This planning process is crucial to ensure the rest of the project goes smoothly and your stone surface is not damaged.

Step 2: Area Preparation - We want to take all the precautions necessary to ensure the other areas of your home are well protected during your natural stone cleaning service. Plastic sheets and blue painter's tape will be used to ensure all the surfaces around your stone will be safe and sound during the cleaning process.

Step 3: Cleaning & Diamond Grinding - Using advanced cleaning products and the right tools for the job, we will clean your stone thoroughly and effectively. Depending on the type of stone, we will either use a machine or hand-scrub your surface. Once cleaned, your surface will be rinsed well to achieve the best results.

If your surfaces are etched, scuffed, or scratched, we can restore them using a diamond grinding tool. The abrasives underneath our rotary machine essentially resurface your stone to remove any etch marks or unsightly scratches. This process uses water to contain the dust that occurs.

Step 4: Honing & Polishing - Stone surfaces like marble, granite, and limestone can be mechanically honed to remove pre-existing surface polish to ensure the new polish applies correctly. Using a mechanical polishing tool, your stone surfaces will be finished to produce a high gloss shine that is extremely attractive. This step could really make your stone surfaces look brand new!

Step 5: Sealing - The last step in the natural stone cleaning process is sealing. A heavy-duty professional grade sealer is applied to help enhance the protection of your stone surfaces to keep them looking great despite regular use.

Step 6: Final Inspection - Once all the natural stone cleaning steps are complete, a final inspection is done to ensure your home is clean and your surfaces are cleaned well. We can also give you tips on how to maintain your stone so it looks great for years to come!
